Job opening at Kentlake High School

Dear WATJ Members:

I am forwarding you the below email message (from myself) about a job opening at Kentlake High School!

Kentlake High School in Kent School District is looking for a 0.8 Japanese teacher to take over our strong program! The position has been in the past and could be 1.0 again with the right teacher leader. Kentlake is a diverse high school grades 9-12 with 1st year through AP Japanese. The adopted textbook is Adventures in Japanese, but the teacher has flexibility to be as creative as you wish.

The Kentlake World Languages department is a strong, close-knit group of teachers. We recently have received more and more district support for professional development and collaboration across the high schools. Additionally, Kentlake has a bilateral sister school exchange program, with visiting students in March and an outbound trip in July, and participates in the district-wide Cherry Blossom Festival in March — built-in opportunities for program advocacy and cultural learning for students.
